shock

I have a rear right shock leaking oil/shot on my Z Force 500. The dealer gave me the name of a person who fixes shocks but he informed me it is not serviceable. Does anyone know if Polaris Razer shocks will fit the rear of mine or of any other makes? Thanks

Not 100% sure, but just check the eye to eye measurement. Should be able to find out what will fit. If yours is like mine, the polaris shock eye will be a tad bigger. Might have to grind or file the bushings and rod down.

You could go Elka stage 1, major upgrade from the CF shocks. Plug & play $550.00
ZF 800 LX Trail, stock for now.......not for long.

Received a rear shock for my Z Force 500 and it is the wrong one. Can anyone tell what is the right part #? Mine is a threaded adjustable spring shock with a nut and lock nut. It also contains nitrogen gas and has a knob to control the speed of the damping. Thanks   Wayne

Looks like there are two offered. The cheap ones that are standard cam preload adjusters with no gas are the 9060-060500-3000 for 144.50 each. Then there are the gas charged, threaded adjustable preloads- 9060-060500-100 for 643.60 each. Those are what you are talking about...and I'll almost bet for less then 1300 per pair you can have a set of Elka Stage-3s custom built just for you. For around 700 you can have a set of stage-1s per pair.

I ordered 2 new oil filled shocks because they were cheaper than one of the gas /oil filled ones @$673. before shipping, exchange and customs, (I am in Canada) and they are 3+ inches shorter than the ones on it. Don't know what is going on, they are listed in the parts list for my machine. Does anyone know if they will work?  Thanks

I don't know but I would think that would be a problem. At the very least the travel downward will be 3+"s less and I would think overall it would set much lower..far past the center point of the a-arm's arch. I wonder why they would list two different length shocks for the same chassis setup.

You are gonna run alittle short. Pimp my ride!
If it has Pistons or Tits you will encounter problems.

Yeah if they are that much shorter..either bag going off-road or..send them back. Or..I guess one of those 3" bracket lifts might be an option.
