seat belts

Has anyone experienced any problems with the OEM seat belts on the Z800. I have had the one's in my 2017 stick, I push the button to release and nothing, this might happen one out of three or four times just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same problems. My concern is don't want a failure during an emergency. If there is an easy fix great, otherwise back to the dealer. Any comments are welcome.

Mine are long-goon but when the one in my truck starts doing that I just give it a shot of WD40.

Yeah I'm quickly starting to not like these seat belts.  I was stuck on a steep hillside and the belt wouldn't pull out.  I didn't want to ride without the belt, but it simply wouldn't pull out.  Once I got on level ground, it worked fine.  Mine also takes some work to get it to latch.

What I hated about my shoulder straps was how they locked in woops..painful. I just got a cheap set of SuperATV 4-points. Kinda a pain to get in and out of sometimes but way better to ride with...and way safer in a roll-over.

Its not a CF Moto problem.  Its an issue with automotive style seat belts in an open/off road vehicle.  They get dirt and water in the release and recoil systems and they stop working.  Go  to a harness style belt and you wont ever have to worry about them again ....well let me clarify.  Go to a harness style belt with a latch over style latch and you will never have a problem again.  There are harness that have automotive style latching and they will fail soon enough.  Also the Cam locks can be a problem over time.
I can imagine a world completely at peace.  A world where there are no weapons, no war, and no violence at all.  And I can imagine us taking over that world because they would never expect it.

Thanks for the input I think it would be best to change to a 4 point latch type. Question do they bolt up or will I need to modify? thinking of a pair from super ATV. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Yeah they just bolt-up to where the OEs are. I originally modified the bolts & mounts to have both in place..just in case..but ended up removing the OE stuff. I also tried several different setups to mount the single strap to the cage bar behind the seat ..different clamps and such but ended up just going around the bar with the strap. I really wish CFM would have just used the same cage they use everywhere else..the one with the mounts for the harness- ARE YOU LISTENING CFM? MAKE THEM ALL THE SAME..WITH EVERYTHING.. AND ALL OPTIONS

We replaced our stock seatbelts with a 4 point harness after the first ride. Didn't like the way the OEM belt pinched my shoulder. Though it's not complicated, I did have to take off a bit of decking under the seats to get to the lap belts and install the bypass. I bought mine from SuperATV.
