Rubbing noise
« on: March 16, 2024, 11:21:00 PM »
I just had a quick question for you about my CFMoto 950 ho ex. I took it to a local park today for the first time after purchasing the machine and noticed on the practice tracks mainly coming off of the small jumps I get a sound that is similar to a rubbing noise with a vibration 50% of the time. on normal flat trails there is no noise, it only has seemed to happen on rougher terrain or landings. Do you think that it could be a suspension issue?  I can not really find anyone that has had this issue and or that is willing to help.  Thank you for your time!

With CFM's history of loose bolts I would inspect every component's mounting bolts for the correct torque first...or document everything well and take it in. I would also take a close look at the front drive line looking for loose carrier bolts and sloppy splines...maybe defective bearings or U-joints. DO inspect all suspension retainer bolts though...leaving things loose is their thing sometimes.
