Based on the other posts you have made, it seems like you are confused about the Coolant temp sensor and thermo-switch as you are using the terms as if they were the same.
Coolant temp sensor - located on head. Supplies information to the ECU for fuel mapping purposes and also supplies a reading to the dashboard for the coolant temp gauge (one sensor, two separate functions/circuits)
Thermo-switch - Located on the radiator. Supplies a signal to the fan relay (thats all, nothing to do with the temp gauge on the dash)
