Looking for some input on a rear window for my Z800 trail. If any one has experience that would be helpful. I live in an area where all the elements are present rain,snow,wind,dust,some areas lots of mud. So i guess what I wanting know is the Pro's and con's of a rear window.

I just put a SuperATV rear window in mine. It stopped all that dust and back-flow from coming in when my SATV flip is closed. Made it quite nice. And made it a little quieter. Great fit, Great quality, coated on both sides and our members get a 10% discount. Just enter CFMOTO in the coupon field when checking out.

One thing to remember though...the more you seal it off, the less airflow the cab has to extract that hot air that comes off the radiator through the dash. Sealing that off will slow or stop that though...then you can take it out in winter for some much needed heat.

I made one for mine. And as NMK said, it will keep it cleaner, but does keep the heat in as well.

gfmoto, is that Lexan?  Scratch resistant or just the regular stuff?

I would have loved to use Lexan, but for the price you may as well buy a factory cut one. It's just the regular stuff, as is my top half windshield. Not to bad for about $70 investment for the top 1/2 windshield, back window and hardware.

So just plexi?  Do you have a half windshield then used plexi for the upper half?  If so, that's what I was planning on doing.

Yep, take a look at my pics. Its just plain plexi, one sheet did both front top and rear, painted the edges from the inside so it matched the FACTORY bottom 1/2.
Has some scratches but no more than the factory lower 1/2.

Found your photos.  I like what you did there.  I'm thinking either the Super ATV or Octane Ridge half windshield, and then I'll make the rest.  I'll prolly go with the scratch-resistant stuff for the half w/s. 

I had a Trail Armor Cool-Flo windshield on my old side by side, and I really liked that setup.  It was a full windshield, but the bottom portion was removable for hot weather riding.  Couldn't find anybody that made one like that for the Zforce.  They either have that cheesy looking vent system, or the flip-out style, which I don't like.

I picked mine up at Lowes, it is some sort of "safety" scratch resistant stuff.  Not quite your basic plexi, but a far cry from Lexan.

You really need a vent in the Lexan Back Panel not only to help control the temperature in the Cab, but also to help control dust or debris in dry terrain, plus water mist in a heavy downpour.  What we do is give you the option of Dual Vents in the Lexan panel for just another $10.00, or a Zip Open back window with our Soft Back Windows. The way I "designed" my top half and back window , air comes up under the roof and circulates downward, as that comes in the hot air and rises , as hot are tends to do, it exhausts out of the top of the rear window.  I've never had any issues with fogging up even during rain. 
@ Pacific Eagle, have you guys ever considered making a rear window with the vents on the top? I'm no engineering genius but I think that with your front window design (vented) and a rear window with a top vent would compliment each other very well.  Now that I'd like to see on my Z.  Just curious on your thoughts.

We already do gfmoto. As you said with the CF Moto Z8 factory Roof, the air comes up under the roof and circulates downward, plus hot air rises. With the design of the CF Moto factory roof we prefer to go low with the vents for added circulation and let the hot air escape at the top. If you are going to use a Pacific Eagle Roof, then the Vents would be near the top. So it all depends on your configuration. On Jason's RZR 1000, we added our Dual Vents near the top. We didn't know a lot about the type of roof Jason had, so for that very reason, we went high. When ordering you can specify where you would like the vents, but just make sure there won't be a problem with crossbars on your UTV model.
You're right about front & rear vents in Lexan Panels, they give you more control over the comfort levels in your Cab.

One question, after a bit of mud,dust, etc and the open/close action of the vents are there very visible scratch lines that appear over time?
I understand that depending on conditions, not opening/closing when dirty, and operator error are all major factors. But through "normal" usage. 
Again I do understand these are not glass and not meant to be opened and closed frequently, just trying to be as informed as possible. Weighing the pros and cons etc.
Just wondering if anyone has done any temperature comparisons vents open vs. closed.
Or more strictly for air flow and not so much as exhausting heat from the cab.

Scratching over a period of time could be a problem. With debris exiting through the vents from the inside, most of that should go with the wind with the vents open. You are more likely to do some damage from debris from the outside in dry terrain after a period of the vents either been mostly closed or to a lesser degree opened and where dust or whatever has settled.  A quick blow from an air hose, heat gun, hair dryer or lung power before you slide the vents will help.
The vents do work and will cool down or warm up the Cab depending on whether they are open or closed. Maybe we can get Jason to do some testing for us and report back.
With the type of Windshield Jason has, when he is running with it opened and the vents opened, the vents are going to stop air swirling around so much. It gives the air direction to travel back somewhat. That will be depending on speed and the volume of air getting rammed back. With vents in both our Pacific Eagle UTV Lexan Windshields and Lexan Back Panels, the air is controlled direction to the rear, so the cabin is more like the inside of a vehicle with the fan on.
