So my wife and I like to putt around some pretty narrow trails in NY in our uforce 500. Speed is generally pretty slow. I am experiencing an uncomfortably amount of heat coming up through the center console. I have added some thin insulation but that doesn't seem to help. The temp gauge never reads hot, but in the summer its very uncomfortable. Has anyone installed a 12 volt fan or have any ideas on how to cool the passenger compartment down. Oh yeah, I have a full windshield and roof. Thanks

I am unsure how the UForce's plastics are layed-out but on my Z, I found there was much more hot air coming in the cab from the radiator then from the engine. I finally got it slowed-down to a manageable point but it took quite a bit. Starting with sealing-off the large gap between the firewall plastics and the front clip, then sealing as best I could the hole into the console where the oil and radiator hoses stub out as well as a 3-sided shield over the hole where the steering column goes through. Then all the holes plugged like the seat belt mounts and put a boot on the hand brake. Some other things but all that slowed it way down and with the flip windshield I can always just open it up and let fresh air in..which the wife really likes anyway. I suggest just start plugging and sealing. It all helps.

Thanks for the ideas. I'll fabricate a boot for the e-brake and try filling some more of the gaps. Kinda looking forward to the warmth this fall but not when its 90 degrees out. Thanks again

I ordered some heat tape to wrap the exhaust pipe. ($14) I hope to have it cooled down by the time we ride on the 1st.
