Primary clutch alignment
« on: March 29, 2021, 08:30:02 PM »
Been seeing a few people blowing apart their clutch’s.. just wanted to see if any heard about the primary clutch being weighted and you have to align it up when putting it back together.  My buggy is an 2014 z800ex. I just finished putting 30s on it and clocked the secondary to b2. With stock rollers New belt. 2 inch lift

You are fine. The old OEs were not balanced together. But if they were there would be alignment marks so look for them. One thing that is smart to do is balance the weight of the rollers or sliders when you get them. Surprising what a few hundredths of a gram can make spinning over 5000rpm. Made mine noticeably smoother.

I wanted to be clear- the newer ones are balanced together so if they..or any.. have these marks...align them. Watch this video:
