Literally took a spin around the block before loading my sxs up for a long weekend trip. I noticed I no longer have to press in shifter button to shift between gears.  I removed the shifter knob and after cleaning w wd40 and brakekleen I was able to work the white plastic shaft up so I can see the two detents.  However, each time it's pressed in it won't come back up by itself.  Is there a quick fix or can I just deal with it for this trip and figure it out when I get back?  Thanks guys!  First ride of the season so it's been sitting in the garage awhile.

Haven't had that problem yet. Probably have to take it apart and see what's up..maybe the spring broke. But just be careful for now while riding. It's OK to bump it into neutral while moving but anything else will take the transmission out.
