Potential Transmission Issue
« on: January 15, 2022, 08:34:32 PM »
Hello.  I am new to the forum. I recently purchased a 2021 UForce 1000.  The first time I used the winch I pulled an old ford tractor out of a container.  The UForce was in Park and while pulling, I heard a loud pop and the UForce now rolls freely when in park.  Everything seems to be working fine other than the machine rolls when in park.  The emergency brake is what we rely on now to make sure it does not roll when on a hill.  Any ideas.  The machine is still under warranty.  Thanks in advance for all responses.

Yep..you broke the parking paw or some part of it. It is not even recommended to use Park on a slight incline or while being transported let alone use it to anchor the unit while winching. Should have left it in neutral and use the hand brake...and chocked the tires if necessary. Either live with it..and hope no broken pieces get involved with the gears.. or take it in. As the case may have to be split, it means a complete engine rebuild and it is unlikely the warranty will cover it as it was operator error.

Agree, pilot error.
