I've never driven a Polaris rzr but would like to know how they compare to the Zforce 800, build quality, performance etc ?

One of my friends has a RzR 800 and I had a chance to take it for a few runs. As the Z is a rough copy of that 800 it's amazingly similar on ride and handling but with the copy of the Rotax V-twin the Z does have a little more power and low end snap...even with the wet clutch. As far as build quality, well both have pros and cons but overall I have to give the build and parts quality to Polaris hands-down. But many things on the Z can be upgraded to better quality.

What about noise from the rear axle, mine still makes hell of a whine around 30 - 40 mph

It has many of the same noises but I can't say if it's less or the same..I have not run it much at that speed.

I have some gear whine in my machine at those speeds.  It's really noticeable when my Go Pro is mounted to the roll cage.  By ear its comparable to my Polaris.  By Go Pro its way louder.  My Polaris does not not pick up any gear whine wherever its mounted.  Maybe the Polaris has different motor and gearbox mounts.  I'm not sure.

I think the CFM's roll cage being mounded as it is transmits it up way more then others but I have not tried my GP in a Polaris. I finally got my center GP mount to have enough between it and the bar to stop most of it but if I mount it straight to the bar its just plain awful....as you know :)

Regarding the whine.....mine does the same....it reminds me of my Kaw Brute Force atv I had. It had that same whine. Honestly I kind of like it.

Zforce and Brute have been the only machines I have owned that have made that noise. I think the fit and finish is very similar between my now Zforce and my previous Rzr 570. Every machine I have owned (Kaw, Suz, Hon, Yam, Pol) has needed every bit of the warranty and the extended warranty. Not a lot of problems just issues resulting from riding. Not abuse or accidental damage.

It all seems hit or miss, but one of my good buddies has had nothing but Razrs and puts insane mileage on them and never has any issues and he beats them terribly.

His current Razr 1000 Turbo has 4500 miles on it in less than 18 mths of ownership, and he has done nothing but normal maintainance and a few belts and aftermarket front bushings.

Then my other buddy cant keep his Razr 800s running more than one weekend without a failure?? It has just over 2000 miles on it.

I have to think its gotta be maintainance and who keeps em up the best.

The CF Moto Z800 EX rides like a tank compared to the Razr 1000 XP and Turbo. The CF Moto 800EX compares in ride quality to the old Razr 800s maybe a tad rougher of a ride than the Razr, with the Cf Moto having some nicer fit and finish interior features and slightly more power as well.

Its all a crapshoot it seems. Good Luck

My brother has a Polaris 900 and we go riding often
I can tell you, my CFM goes anywhere his goes. It is almost as fast. His has been in twice for warranty work.
I think in many ways, my cfm is superior. Such as, locking front diff, engine brake, bumpers, winch, roof..
And I spent 5k less than him.

Well said Karmis, we really love ours, have absolutely no trouble with it other than the
Radiator thermo switch.
And the fit and finish is as good or better than any on the market, I don't think I would trade for any other brand.

The RZR900 doesn't have a locking front diff???

Driven both my Z800 and a RZR900 and to be honest, both ride the same, the 900 had a lil more pep but as far as fit and finish, my Z looks like a Cadillac in comparison.
Build.... I thought the Polaris would be better, until he said all the problems he had with it. So like anything else. Guess it's all luck of the draw, treatment, preventive maintenance, and care.
