I have a SuperATV Flip-up windshield on my Z800. It has a wind screen area of 13" by 36".

I'm looking for a manual windshield wiper that would work with this windshield, but so far, I've found 12" to 16" blades (Amazon) which will obviously be too long for this application. There is nothing on the SuperATV site, and they have not responded to my inquiries, so I'm turning to the CFMOTO community for guidance.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, the first thing you have to realize is that even though it has a hard surface..no plastic windshield will ever stand up to the repetitious actions of  a windshield wiper forever. In time you will have a zone with so many scratches you will have to toss the hole thing. They do make wiper and washer kits and you see them installed on Lexan shields all the time...but you never see what happens to them later.  Only a glass windshield can take it. Get what ever kit you want if you really feel the need.. otherwise you can do what I do..which is either nothing and when it's gets too bad to see through just open it or...spray it down with water and use a soft silicone squeegee or a clean soft towel on it.

Yup! All understood.

I have a squeegee. It has proven insufficient on some long rides. Open up the windshield and now you are trying to keep the helment screen clear, and getting soaked in the process. Even worse if you aren't wearing a helmet.

I'm not worried about the damage to the windscreen as it won't be used that often, and when it is, it will be lubricated by the moisture. It will be years before any appreciable damage occurs.

Yeah...soak the weewee out of it before using the wiper should help.

My thoughts exactly. I can't help but suspect that with a powered wiper the abrasive qualities of dust and mud will make a permanent mark on even a 'hard' plastic windshield in short order. I even cringe at wiping mine off with a soft cloth.
I tried one of the suggested 'microfiber' cloths and you might as well wipe your wet windshield with a jute door mat. It removes zero water. A wet soft cloth does the trick.

I like the thought of a hand operated wiper that you can reach up and give a one way swipe when needed, but even then I don't think I'll go that way just yet.  8)
But I'll follow the topic.

I wonder would it be silly to silicone a sheet of 1/8 glass on top just large enough to accommodate the wiper track.
Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.......(:

Good thought but I think it would just make a weird area to look through.

Just a thought.... go to a glass shop and have a piece of automotive glass cut to size, they can drill the holes for the mounting hardware.

Have to find a wiper arrangement that would work with the windshield first.

So far, no joy.

I'm thinking a 10 inch blade on a 12 inch total length would be perfect, but I can't find anything smaller than a 12" blade.

Do you have a car part wrecking yard nearby to surf? There might be some little foreign car that has just the thing.
