Overriding clutch bearing
« on: January 07, 2022, 10:13:16 AM »
I a 2020 cforce 600 I ordered another overriding clutch bearing (0GR0-051300) and I cant find a mark that shows which way it free spins. Is the bearing marked some way that shows what way it free spins I know it free spins counterclockwise. I looked on the last one I ordered and I did not see anything. It does have letters and a parts number one one side does that go toward the machine or away from it any help at all would be appreciated.

I emailed CFmoto and this is all they sent back:Although Customer Care is not typically authorized to dispense technical advice, you should install the overriding clutch so that it freewheels when rotating it counter-clockwise on the clutch shaft.

Like they said, just slide it on and turn the outer race counterclockwise. If it spins, it's right, if not and locks, flip it around. Cake.
As a rule the engine must idle with the belt resting on the race and not turn so to simulate the engine turning just rotate the bearing in the opposite direction of rotation when not running. Same effect on the sprags.

I have already ruined two new overriding bearings they go on easy the first time but I haven't been able to slip them off without it messing the bearing up.

Spin it counterclockwise when sliding it on or off. That will keep the sprags released.
