Hello I have a 2015 UForce 800 and I have a clunking noise at idle and seems to be coming from inside the side cover. My question is is it possible this noise is coming from the clutch assembly because it only seems to be present at an idle and not when under a load which makes me believe it is not a lower end issue.

It won't be from the primary or secondary clutches as the 15 800s had wet clutches...however the springs on the wet clutches have been known to break allowing a shoe to drag on the bell. If this is the case going from neutral to any drive gear would present with some gear-grinding as that dragging shoe or spring will cause the CVT clutches to rotate. Post a sound clip of the noise so we can hear it.

Mine also has some of that and even worse when cold...and I know there is nothing wrong with my wet clutch and the only thing I found was some play on the cam plate slides and some wear on the sliders then selves. When I take the play out with tape on the tower slides it does quit so it's in my list to replace someday.
