Oils and lubed for new 2019 model cforce
« on: May 03, 2019, 12:44:43 PM »
Hey so I'm in my research mode right now before committing on a new 2019 cforce 800 xc. I generally do as much of my own maintenance as possible and want to know about oil reccomendations. From what I understand this engine has been redesigned from previous years in that it no longer has a wet clutch. Is that true? If so can you use any regular oil, or if I stick with my synthetic Amsoil wet clutch certified ATV oil will that hurt it in any way? Also with the differentials do you need to use hypoid gear approved gear lube? I use Amsoil gear lube currently that is hypoid approved and was told if I didn't use hypoid approved lube I would wear down the gears. Also are the filters the internal kind and not screw on?

I own a 2019 cForce 800 XC.  The user manual lists the following information related to oils / lubes.

Items Specifications
Engine Oil SAE15W/40 SG
Transmission oil SAE75W/90 GL-5
Brake Fluid DOT4
Front Gear Case Oil SAE80W/90 GL-5
Rear Gear Case Oil SAE80W/90 GL-5
Grease Pivot Points All Season Grease

Since 15W/40 is hard to come by, 10W/40 is also acceptable.

It does have an internal cartridge style filter and is NOT a screw on type.

I have not had the clutch area open, but it is my understanding it IS a dry clutch.
