Well I just got my new 21 600T back from service with a new starter and have finally had a chance to play around with it.

I've noticed that on the left side of the display, the temperature gauge is there but it gives me no indication of current temperature. I really don't recall it even working the day i brought it home new from the dealer. It's been ridden so little.

I rode around for like 10 minutes in the yard and still, no bars. I don't think I've ever heard the fan kick on either since I've had it. Maybe its so cold out, it hasn't been necessary? Engine temp too low to register on the dash?

The dealer that is doing my service offered to take it back in to look at it. However, they are 45 minutes away and I would prefer to save the trip, if possible. I'm hoping that this is either normal and the engine temp just hasn't gotten high enough to register or maybe something is just unplugged and needs to be reconnected? Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!

Thermostats are there to restrict & regulate coolant flow and the coolant temp sending unit is on the engine side of that.. so..check the temp sending unit's connection. If it's connected, check that the coolant is getting warm. If so..then it's back to the dealer for warranty repairs...again. Probably just a bad sensor but also check the connections to the pod as well.
