Monster Tune?
« on: November 26, 2022, 09:26:37 AM »
Has anyone had experience with these guys?

https://cfmotousaparts.com/product/ecu-tuning-monster-fi/?mc_cid=bea333f2d2

Been considering this and Ive heard about MSCycle (and there problems with gettin er done, seems like they got more going on then they can handle, but not knocking their quality, just their ability, and Im not interested in being left in limbo like they did the last time their end screwed up)

this outfit is apparently out of New York with a probably two day turn around not counting travel time.

Im also curious if anyone has used MSCycle 90 degree inlet.
My particular machine has a niceley curved 90 degree inlet that looks just like the one MSCycle is selling for $100.

Im looking for overall flow and with power gain.
Not building a dragster.

My particular machine I've had out to 70, and it definitely climbs well, but I think a bit more aggressive accel combined with a clutch set up that locks a bit quicker would be beneficial for where I ride and where I live.

I would rather stay stock than have my ECM in limbo for weeks without word.

2022 CFMoto CForce 800XC. Lava Orange/Camo Swapped 9x14-27/Fr 11x14-27/RR, Interco Sniper 920, RJWC header. MSC 90 intake.
2023 CFMoto CForce 800XC Camo/Orange Swapped, Heat Demon grip heater, Turn signal kit, All Balls winch remote kit. RNG Clutch kit w/ Scorpion 3 stage helix. Camso X4S tracks for winter fun. Ice biter chains for destroying asphalt.

I don't have any experience with Monster tuning but The dealer you mentioned Cfmoto usa parts is Josh Curren at Curren Rv and they are a great dealership that are well known across the Cfmoto pages for about 4.5 to 5 years now.

I have Monster Tune.
Reason?
I removed the OEM muffler/catalytic converter, and replaced it with a RJWC muffler.
The factory tune and stock muffler make these machines run very lean which quite often ends up extreme heat damaging the header pipe.
So... With the engine now breathing easier with the RJWC it was necessary to have a tune commensurate to the new situation
Why Monster? I have a friend in Thessalon, Ontario who works on CFMOTO and other UTV's for a living and t was because of his advice I went with Monster.

Awesome.
I get a number of parts from Curren for mine.
I can count on getting the part first off . .

I tried ordering from MS and. . that kind got irritating after three weeks of "were on it" after their website botched an order despite PROVING the order had debited my bank account.

They KNEW their website botched it, they found traces of it. After 3 weeks of 'were working on it' when the right response would have been "your parts are on the way" (there was digital evidence of the order).

I kinda hesitate to send my ECM to them, I understand a couple week turn around, but a flat line response makes me a bit leery. I want to ride my machine, not stare at it for a month or two.

I've read the reports of the lean tuning which is why I am interested in getting it tuned more properly.

Thanks for the response on Monster tune, guys!
