Question:
I asked the shop what fluids (ratings/brans) they used in the machine on assembly.
Not because I believe the shop is always right (they sell what they get bonuses on) but so I could keep a bit on hand for top offs, etc.

They said they used Maxima Coolanol in the cooling system, which is a brand I wasn't previously familiar with.

So I ordered a jug just for tops off, etc.

Well, the Radiator has the familiar glow in the dark green and the jug I received is purple.

So I have a discrepancy here.

Does maxima make a green coolant and if so what is the specific part/spec number or was I getting smoke blown somewhere on that?

I'm not against flushing the cooling system based on more experienced recommendations but I'm also aware that coolant colors indicate specific application additives and such as well.

All Maxima products are premium-grade. To my knowledge there are three coolants- one is the Coolanol which has always been the standard green and seen in this video..they may have changed it recently though. The other is their off-road coolant for trophy trucks and such. It is ready to use so its already cut 50/50. I do not know the color of it. They also make a non-glycol coolant for racing engines called Cool Aide. Probably purple.  Maxima also makes the foam filter oil treatment we recommend. Both FAB-1 and FFT.

'I ordered the wrong thing" is easier than having smoke blown into nether orifices . .

Yup, looked closer, I accidently ordered the pro stuff not the regular coolant.
