I took the 2018 zforce 800 to the drive in at the bank.I turned it off to hear the teller
but didn't turn the power off.
I went to start it about 3 minutes later and it wouldn't turn over ....I'm thinking battery.
I had my Daughter and Son n Law come and jump me.
When they jumped me the buggy would start,once the jumper cables were disconnected it would die.
We tried this a few times and same thing.
My son n law seems to think it's the alternator that's gone bad.I think the battery has seen better day's.The brand of battery it it now is YUSA.

A battery with an open cell will act that way. Just have it load tested. Bet it's bad.

NMK...Thank you very much,It turned out to be that the battery has seen better days.So it's time to go on a battery hunt.
I have done a little online looking and WOW how battery prices gone up.But so has everything else.
I know that i'm not the only one to replace the battery.What have others used ,part#

I'm on my third battery..and I bought it when in a pinch the day before a trip..got it from Batteries+. Opted for the Duracell..forgot what number but it had a little more CCAs and Ahs the the last bettery which was the direct Yuasa replacement. I remember paying a small fortune at the time but had little choice.  It is an AGM battery though so it will handle the off-road jolts better and it weighs a little less. Thought about going with a Shori LI like I had in my Brute but that one was bumping 300 bucks so I would hate to see what the one for the Z would be ..I think this one was not far form 200...and that was nearly 3 years ago.

Not sure how to chase down the parasitic drain (if one exists) on these yet I keep this handy should I not have the time to chase down a battery. Was skeptical at first yet the restorative mode has got me out of a jam more than once:

Yeah they do an OK job of taking the sulfation off the plates but...can't get it out of the bottom where it falls, builds-up and starts shorting the plates.
