Indicator Light
« on: April 26, 2022, 07:56:41 AM »
Hey all, happy to find this forum as I am trouble shooting my 2021 CF600. Less than 500 miles, stored under cover, never ran hard. I really have no faith in the dealer in which I bought it from so hesitant to pull them in the loop if I can fix it myself. Seems like a short in the wiring, turn the key on and the dash lights do crazy things...it started once and I ran it on to my trailer. transported it unloaded it, dead now where she sits. My point is it appears intermittent. I did see this warning light but the manual does not indicate what it means...LOL Just my luck. Can anyone enlighten me? Did I miss the explanation in the manual?

In true CFM style there always has to be a mystery. I reviewed the owners manual and also didn't find anything relating to that light. It may be in the service manual..which I do not have. In any case, most often when dash's go crazy it's due to an electrical problem prior to it..and most often its low voltage that does it. I would check all battery cable connection, load test the battery..because it's the #1 reason this happens.. and look for any connection that may have leaked water. Also any where a rodent may have snacked on some wiring.

My 600 wasn`t 6 months old when it started doing the things. dash going crazy sometimes not starting .It turned out to be a bad battery. I replaced it with a cheap one from amazon and i new better to not do that. 3 months later, same problem. i got a interstate battery and have been good ever since. check the battery 1st, have load tested then go from there.

Maybe it’s a parking brake indicator.

CF Tech here:  That light is the parking light indicator. Check the connection of your display, it maybe loose, or gotten moisture into it.  I had an accessories guy install aftermarket hand warmers and disconnected the display to tie into a power source for the hand warmers.  My install guy didnt plug the display back in all the way and we had the parking like indicator come on.
