I spend a lot of time pouring over maps looking at places to ride.  There are hundreds if not thousands of miles of trails all connected where I live and ride.  The problem is....its cold, really cold.  So cold that I don't even want to go outside.  If there was snow, I'd go out and play on the quad or the SXS.  There is no snow, just cold.  Unfortunately winter has just begun.  Today has the least amount of daylight all year.  All riders down south don't realize how good they have it.  That is all.  Just posting a thought.

I hear ya. Although its probably no where near as cold here as there being in the teens to low 20s, I'm just not interested in being frozen on some trail without at least some snow. We will get some in the mountains soon..but it's not there yet. We have the desert close but its just plain cold now so.. and the older I get...the less I like being cold...lol

I'm sure our fiends in Canada will laugh at you, just saying. It is tough to get outside when it's -20F. It hit =20F and I was shocked I was outside in just a shirt. It is already an odd winter here in MN. I always look forward to riding the frozen rivers here, but not sure if it will be safe this season with the wild temp swings.

I ride every day here and last week we had lows in the -20 range.  I don't ride long distances or a long time but with doors and windows on the machine it works.

Yeah...that's what I'm thinking now that I have the doors along with the front and rear windshields it should be much nicer. Just gota get off my butt and on the trails...lol

Lol..not that close to Chicago. The Quad Cities have lots of rolling hills, woods, fields, water and of course, great people.

JK--I'm from north central Iowa.  When I was going to school in Iowa City I had somebody tell me they were from the Chicagoland area...come to find out they were from Moline...lol.  So people from Illinois think the Quad Cities are practically Chicago.
