I go up about every other weekend. I have a older small motorhome and just park it on the property and go from there. Saves me bucks on hotel rooms.  Gets expensive when the hotel rooms come into play.. We are going to make the colebrook run saturday from Berlin.. Im sure we will meet up one of these weekends.. If you have ride command i go by the name of Old Fart. I never lock out my rides with passwords so anyone can join if they want to..

A air filter and a switch?

My 2022 Uforce 800 has 300 miles on it.
It spun a rod bearing and now I have to replace the long block.
I purchased an extended warranty from Aegis Powersports and they denied my claim (said DUST infiltrated the carb) BULLSHIT

So I have to shell out $6700 dollars for repairs

Fight it. Have them explain how dust ingestion has no effect on the top end but takes out a rod bearing. Of course if that's not the case and you were still running the stock air filter which is known to allow dust through...people have lost both top-end and rod bearings under 1000 miles. Still..fight it.

Is this (air filter);something that affects the G2 2023 models as well? I know they relocated the air filter into the passenger compartment behind the passenger seat

Yes, although the new style filter is a little better at keeping the trash out, it still lets 30 micron and smaller through...so we have been told.. Doesn't matter where they mount it...although the old locations were very bad. At least people are getting 3K miles before having to replace their engines...unlike the older ones that are gone at or before 1300 on average. All should be running UniFilter two stage filters with a quality foam filter oil treatment. One side note- when servicing them always roll-up a paper towel on the inside after working the treatment through to soak-up any excess oil as it can get pulled into the air stream and coat the air temp/mass air flow sensor.

I bought a UNI filter and clean/lube it, along with changing the oil, every couple hundred miles….or whenever I get bored. I figured paying for filter/engine oil is cheaper than using paying for an engine.

I’ve got right at 2,900 miles on mine. I’m hoping I can keep it for a long time.

Dear HRC 630,

The stock air filters for the majority of CFMOTO ATV's & UTV's are extremely poor filters, they clog quickly and require more than regular cleaning or changing especially if one is constantly on dusty trails.

Coupled with this is that they are equally very poor with air flow even in non dusty locations.

Forget going in the desert with these stock filters, instant clogging.

Invest in a good quality K&N high flow low maintenance Air filter, they improve flow, improve general drive conditions and last much longer than stock filters, they are expensive but much cheaper than having to renewing/replacing the engine!

However, they will require more maintenance if operated in dusty conditions but not as much as stock Air filters.

My dealer installed Uni Filters on both my 600 and 800. Never mentioned a word about it to me. I ordered Uni Filters for both machines and when i went to replace the stock filters i was plesently surprised to see that.Asked the dealer about it when i was there and they told me it was standard practice to replace the stock filter with Uni Filters along with a battery tender plug and a couple other little things i can't remember. They are GREAT dealers, But i never had a warranty issue. After reading and watching vids, I would never use a K&N filter.

Ive picked up two 800XCs from Empire.
I think with a little help on outside the factory box thinking their techs would be really good.
I had a bizzare issue and while they did what I asked, they couldn't think outside factory parameters well.
I'd pick up a third one if I could . . but I do prefer the Gen two body over the pokemon looking Gen 3 . . .
Ive got over 3000 on the 2022 and near 1300 on the 2023..

Never wire anything into the harness. ALWAYS set up a secondary fuse block for little things like grip warmers and aux lights.

Hi all,
An interesting topic of discussion “Air Filters”.
Rest assured that it matters not what you are driving, an ATV, UTV, off road Dirt Bike or off road trucks cars, the stock air filter is a very basic device, designed, manufactured and fitted to do just the basics i.e. filter “SOME” dirt laden air. The manufactures will source the cheapest and nastiest filter out there and seek to reduce manufacturing costs wherever and however they can.
The customer will have little recall on claims in warranty or out of warranty for engine failure because they will on most of the occasions state that the vehicle has been used outside of its intended manufacturing specifications. Meaning the customer did not heed warnings provided in the manual regarding the use of the vehicle, or if you like their get-out clause.
If you are off roading in seriously dusty conditions and or racing any of the above one of the minimum on the list of priorities is to change the air filter.
There are a plethora of non-stock Air filter suppliers out there, K&N (My preferred filters) Unifilter and many more, to many to list here. You would be well advised before you take delivery of your ATV or UTV to research aftermarket high-flow high filtration air filters and fit them before you drive I mile on your new ride. Filters that use some form of spray on oil are best suited to dusty driving conditions.
As for dealers and their level of skill and knowledge regrading CFMOTO products, in short it is abysmal, well that’s the state of things here in UK. In the UK if you buy a new car your dealer has factory trained techs, the business contract is franchised meaning all have to conform to some strict and very serious requirements regarding supporting the customer in After Sales.
All ATV and UTV dealers, very different here in UK, the majority of “Dealers” which in my opinion do not deserve the title of dealer, are garden machinery suppliers; the techs are not factory trained for CFMOTO products. Their knowledge of ATV’s & UTV’s is very limited. They may be experts in garden machinery products but their level of skill and knowledge in ATV’s & UTV’s is next to zero. When I took delivery of my X8 it allegedly had received a PDI, good job I checked every nut and bolt before I rode it, the following defects were found: -
1.   Brake foot pedal not set to correct height.
2.   Throttle cable loose at throttle body
3.   Battery electrolyte not topped up
4.   Front axle toe-in incorrectly set, never checked.
5.   Rear cargo rack bent and not set correctly
6.   Speed sensor gap incorrectly set.
There is more but I risk get a tad turgid, there is very little expertise at CFMOTO dealers here in UK. Ask them questions about the spec of your ATV or UTV and they will come out with all kinds of nonsense. There are some bespoke ATV, UTV specialist here in UK that modify them for racing of all forms, but these guys are not dealers in the sense that they can sell you a new ATV or UTV. They like the specialists in your countries have trustworthy knowledge and skill but like everything else in life in comes at a cost.
