The guy in the video is doing it exactly right, from my understanding.  8)

Battery life is dependent on a good many things, but price isn't necessarily one of them

These are expensive because they are specialty batteries, not because they are expensive to make or necessarily well made.

A GM battery of this type has a life expectancy of 3 to 5 years with "typical" consumer treatment; longer if taken care of, and there are products that can be used to help "restore" a failing AGM battery.

Best bet is to always use a tender, even if only stored for a week between uses.

100% believe in that. Everything I have with a battery that sits.. even a few days is on a tender.

I both mine during the Summer of last year, it still works fine. For this price I'm expecting it to last years. Sucks to read about some people's bad luck with batteries though. I hope that's not going to be me, but I'm prepared for it.

Even the best most expensive batteries will be short lived if not maintained properly. You can't stop chemistry, you can only manipulate it. Keep it tendered when not in use to get the longest life from it.

Same here I got about 3 in a half years out of the original. Replaced it and added a 2nd battery under the seat of the same make to run all my accessories. It’s been a great solution, I had battery problems when I had my lights, music, and then wench running.

I do have a question though, I came across a good deal on a 2012 Rzr and noticed it had a full size car battery, Optima gel battery at that, the red one. What are yalls thoughts on that? It does fire up nicely unlike my Z8 so it makes me think it’s a good idea but idk.
