Has Anyone done a CVT exhaust temp gauge?
« on: November 11, 2016, 07:12:18 PM »
While I had mine apart I thought it might be a good time to install a temp gauge on the CVT exhaust but all I can find that looks like it will hold up to all the harsh conditions are those for liquid temperatures like coolant and oil. Actual air temp systems are high-dollar and that's just not going to happen. I'm not sure these sensors for fluid/liquids are sensitive enough to get a good reading on air passing by. Anyone have any inputs on this?

Ones like this are tough enough and water proof but I just don't know if it would work well enough with air:

https://www.amazon.com/MATCC-100-250-Degree-Temperature-Backlight/dp/B01EV9RAPS/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1478912460&sr=8-2&keywords=automotive+temperature+gauge

One like this will work but it's not water tight and just not built for this type of usage:

https://www.amazon.com/Beuler%E2%93%A1-Digital-temperature-remote-sensor/dp/B002B0KVFQ/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1478912794&sr=8-7&keywords=Digital+automotive+temperature+gauge

Any input is welcomed.

You could also try this link I posted here a while back.

Pacific Eagle UTV Enclosures were the first manufacture to support CF Moto with aftermarket Cab Enclosures and Windshields. Today we manufacture 32 Cab Enclosure combos for the UForce 500, 600, 800 &1000. We also manufacture 28 Cab combos for the ZForce 500, 600, 800 & 950 Sport & 1000. We think we have pretty much got CF Moto covered. We have updated our name to Pacific Eagle Powersports.
