Had to jump ship
« on: May 04, 2018, 12:14:41 AM »
Had to jump ship, traded the 2016 U Force 800 for a 2017 Wolverine R-Spec EPS. Had the Moto for a year, put 1000 miles on it no major issues. A perfectly capable machine for what it is, a sporty looking exterior with a mostly utility inner workings. Just couldn't justify putting more money into it for things like suspension, under armor, etc. not to mention resale values. I learned a TON of good info from all here, a great group.

Here it is, already took it out for a rip (already broken in...) in the local desert, these bad boys soak up the rough pretty well, seemed to smooth out the faster you went. Got a super deal on it, shout out to BIRDS OF PREY MOTORSPORTS, Caldwell, Idaho. They originally wanted $13,499.00, (MSRP?? for a demo unit with 600 miles on it?) and I said "nah, not happening". I told them I found one in another city in Idaho NEW for $11,700.00, in CAMO.

That was last night, and I told them I would be there in the am to see if we could deal. Sooo, thinking I was going to have to work at it, and having prepared to do so, they hit me with the new deal, $11,200.00!! Not knowing what to say now, I said "that will work, write it up". Sooo, then feeling pretty good about the deal, decided to throw some accessories on the tab. Got the Super ATV full flip out hard coat windshield, a KFI 3000# winch, winch mount, and a soft rear window, all heavily discounted.

And...the R-Spec is super quiet, and NO heat, amazing.

Good luck with your new ride.  8)

It's funny you say they are quiet because two of my friends each have one and they are louder than mine lol I have a Zforce tho. They are good machines for sure. I would suggest doing something to protect the front CV boots ASAP if you trail ride. They went through about 5 boots between them before the got guards.

Not sure what it sounds like from behind while it's going hard, but the cab noise is super quiet, easy to carry on a conversation.

Nope this I noticed while driving it had a very loud droning noise under accel. Maybe they updated the newer models I think they both got the first production year.

Nice buy.
My friends have one 2016 and it is very confortable.
My only complaints is the very low top speed and the lack of power in the deep snow. Other than that I really like the comfort and smooth ride.
