front diff leaking?
« on: September 03, 2017, 09:56:27 PM »
hey guys has any one replaced the seals on the front diff before 800ex? mine started dripping after a long two day trip. i was strapping it down on the trailer and thats when i noticed it. i have had diffs apart before not cfmoto but i have never messed with one that has electronics in it like the locker and such. any info would be much appreciated.

I have not done one of these either but studied the manual. They are simple, old-school design so don't worry about it. Do take a look at the vent tube. If it gets blocked with a kink..or mud..or mud dobbler, pressure will build and push oil out the seals.

Pro tip man didn't think about that but totally makes since. Will for sure check it if it's not clogged may do a video on disassemble. And seal replacement.
