I bought the magazine just for this article. I was a little disappointed. They described the ZForce as being decent for the price but not as good as others. They said it felt nearly as strong as a RZR 800 but slower out of the hole. I guess they never seen the videos of the ZForce smoking the RZR in a drag race. They say the suspension is decent. I think it's pretty darn good. A little stiffer than I like, but that's because it's designed for sport riding. I like cruising on rough trails. They said the skid plate doesn't protect the rear diff. Mine is protected. I know CF Moto is not a top of the line brand yet, but I think they are better than the article gave them credit for.

I agree..  I think they are short changing the CFMOTO.  I am sure the big guys would be pissed if they said it was better and cheaper, go buy one..

I am happy with my purchase, does it have its quirks, sure.  They all do, you just do not hear about them.  I check out the RZR forums and see lots of issue.  I mean lots..

Just got a call from my brother in law with a 2012 RZR 570. It caught on fire over the weekend because of a faulty voltage regulator.

If that happened to a CF Moto, people would say it's because they are just Chinese crap and they all catch on fire. Since it's Polaris, no biggie, just a fluke.

Exactly.

No Polaris fan boy likes to talk about the 2005 Switchback 900... that thing was a GIANT failure. The electrical issues on that thing were unfixable. The reverse never worked right on them.

Or how about the early Sportsman 600 & 700 twins. The ignition system was such shite, that they had to redesign it mid-model year. And since ALL of the ignition parts were changed, even if the voltage regulator went, you had to spend over $700 JUST in parts to have your entire ignition system replaced.

I think its hilarious when people come in and trash the HiSun/Massimo/Bennchee UTVs based on the Yamaha Rhino. They claim its a shite chinese design and the heat and engine placement is terrible (I wont disagree with those two things)... except its NOT a chinese design. Its a Japanese/American design. And yes, it was and still is a crab design. But to blame the Chinese is ignorant and shows how blinded people are by brand loyalty.

They ALL have problems. None of them are perfect. But I guess if I paid $20k plus for something I'd but on some blinders to make me feel better

You'd think for $20K, Polaris could at least add engine breaking. Why does Polaris pick and choose which models get engine breaking. One version of the Sportsman 400 a few years ago even had a wet clutch but no low range. As far as I know, that was the only Polaris to ever have a wet clutch.

I like my ZFrorce because it has a little bit of every thing. It may not have the best of every thing, but it has the features I want all in one place without having to pick which features are more important. I get a pretty good chassis and suspension, a good V-twin engine and a Yamaha style drive train. With any other brand, I have to pick which features I want, because I can't get it all. Plus, I get features standard, that I'd have to pay a lot extra for on other brands. All that, and so far, the quality seems to be pretty good.
