Hit the trail yesterday with Bezerk1 and about 15 mins into the ride, felt a thumping under my feet.  Stopped and checked out the front end.  My bottom front passenger side a-arm bolt was loose, very loose.  So back to the garage to tighten it up.  My buddy checked his and some were loose and the rear pass bottom a-arm was missing the nut.

I usually do a visual check with the paint marks, but this one got by me. So as someone else on the forum posted, Tighten, tighten, tighten....

I had heard about loose a-arm bolts before I got mine so the first thing I did was check their torque and sure enough found some loose or below the torque spec. Checked them after a couple-hundred miles and still OK though. I really think we need to go through these at least once and check all bolts. I hear-tell of loose motor mounts and differential & gear case bolts now too.

The service manual states 40 to 50 for front and rear A-arm shafts.  It does not specify whether is NM or Ft/Lbs.  My guess is that its Ft/Lbs.  It seems reasonable.

So far my chassis and suspension bolts seem OK. I was riding one day and noticed steering felt strange. I looked down and the bolts on the power steering bracket had backed out. I tightened them up and it seems OK now.
