I use this Castrol Power-1 because it exceeds all requirements and is rated for wet clutches. It's been perfect so far. Just make sure your engine is well broke in before switching to it..or any synthetic oil and if you go to a synthetic, make sure it is OK for use with wet clutches. If not, by by wet clutch. Otherwise just use a good motorcycle conventional 10/15-40.

Castrol.  I can't say its any better or any worse than other oils.  It's oil colored, slippy and has no chunks in it therefore it meets my requirements.

The note on my dash says change the oil every 500 hrs. That seemsw like an awfully long time. What is a normal change interval?

Odd, the note on my dash says to check engine oil every 500 kilometers or 310 miles. Change it when it needs it. Most will need it between 600-1100 miles. Some will go a bit more. If it starts looking like it needs it, do it- regardless of miles or hours.
