EPS Blinking light
« on: July 18, 2023, 05:20:43 PM »
So we were driving on a fire road and hit some pretty had square edge grooves that gave us quite a jolt.  Then I noticed the EPS light flashing.  While she was trying to find it in the manual, I parked under shade and turned the CF off.  Then read I was supposed to count the sequence of the flashes.  When I started it back up, it ran fine with no code flashing.  We drove about 45 miles on rough fire roads back with no issues.  Any thoughts?  the location was McCall Idaho to Yellowpine Idaho and then up to the Stibnite mine, Thunder Mountain and back to McCall.

If the impacts were hard enough to transfer through the unit and effect the torque bar it might have send some conflicting data to the controller unit...or that same jolting may have loosened a connection somewhere. I would give it a good look-over and ensure your tire pressure is at a point that it can soften some of those impacts...like 7-9 PSI.

Thanks NMK.  That's the plan.  Just seemed odd.  As to tires, I am still on original rubber.  Grant it, I'm only at 1100 miles and 99% fire roads.
