Found these on etrailer.com and went with 2 sets. I did some bracing underneath to make sure they would hold their own in the event of an accident. They make loading super easy. Couldn't be happier with the decision. I'll try to get some better pics this weekend when we are out. Basically drive on between the chocks and lock the tire straps down. The straps are made so they don't come apart so you are never are looking for the other half of the tie down strap.

Agreed. I'd been doing with the heavy duty tie downs for years now, but every time I use them I'm annoyed with them. Putting these on my Xmas list for this year - that way I can get the wife to pay for 'em instead of it coming out of my pocket    Thanks for the thread, bucfanmike !! I actually just did a very similar setup a couple weekends ago using D rings.  Harbor Freight had D rings on sale for $4 apiece so I bought 8 of them and made spots for all 4 corners.  I got tired of fraying straps on the corners of the trailer using the stake pockets.

Just make sure that if you're attaching the D rings to lumber only that you use an oversized washer or fashion a plate so that the weight distributes across the wood on the bottom side.  If not, you may pull the ring up through the wood if you get enough force applied to the ring.

That's a good idea fellas, might have to do that as well.

I thought about doing the same thing Jason did but welding the D rings to a metal plate then bolting that plate down to the frame.  That way it would stay no matter what.
