My first windshield was a folded one from Moose. Closed it dit it's Job perfect, but with the top folded down it was horrible. In wind at higher speeds it starts to vibrate like hell; both pieces flexes on each other. They went back and forth about 2 centimeter and that irritated me. In the dark it gets worse; you get al kind of light input from the shield in your eyes. So:

Moose went off and I ordered a half windshield from SuperATV. It was from hell in heaven. It fits super and solid. It redirect the wind perfect. And that for 199 dollar ( = 178 euro). I can recommend this shield.

I am glad to hear that you and your windshield are getting along better and it has stopped beating you up. Considering the price and the overall quality I don't know how SATV didn't get a better fit at the hood, it could be that the smaller radius corners needed to get a tighter seal could lead to stress cracks in those corners, I had to do some drilling and sanding to get it to fit my Z6 and it is easy to work with so I might go to work on that bottom edge with a sander to get it more verticle for a better fit...like you said only because it looks bad. It does keep the cabin warm, I would actually like to have it lock open another 2 or 3 inches further than it does in that first position to allow more air to flow through it, I wonder how hot a full fixed windshield would be in anything but cold weather even if it had vents.

I was out yesterday morning helping set up for the Toys-for-Tots run in Allenstown NH at Bear Brook State Park (Today from 8-12:30 BTW if anyone is interested - bring a toy!).

It was about 30 degrees out and the windshield made all the difference in the world as I was a bit underdressed for those temps.

I too would like to eliminate some of the flex, but more importantly, some of the vibration the bottom pieces suffers from when riding. I'm guessing it will take a second mounting bracket on each side to get the job done. I'll be interested in what you come up with.
