The blue is a great filter, from cfmoto Canada. Nothing but great feedback from it.
If it has Pistons or Tits you will encounter problems.

I bought a CFM high performance air filter thats blue....oil foam but rigid and shaped a K&N. Part# 8703CF. I think thats a Canadian part#...should cross though.

I've seen those.  Any reason why that's only offered up north?  Sneaky Canadians.   ;D  (kidding, of course)  :P

CFM seems to give preference to the Great White North for some reason. Probably to offset the milk in bags!!

The new Uni should be here tomorrow. I was also curious about a front filter up top... why they didn't put one there, and would it restrict airflow causing more fuel consumption?
And to the mad guy... sorry no dealers in my area carry that particular filter. So it would've taken another week to get it. Amazon 2 days ;)! I also prefer to buy local when I can!

Long ago I ported mine to the outside and have use several different types and sizes of filters on it up there. The smallest one was a mushroom-type which worked fine until I put some fine green Unifilter material in it. It was then a little restrictive right off the bat so..it got standard Uni 2-stage material and I now jeep it in the box for a spare..for either it or my CVT intake. I now have an oversized Uni in the box and another one on top with a prefilter and no issues with restriction so you can put most anything on top, just make it as big as you can to lost as long as you can. 6x4s - 6x8s seem to be the most common.

That is what they call a prefilter or filter sock.
It goes over top of the filter and add another layer of protection.
If it has Pistons or Tits you will encounter problems.
