I just picked up a 2018 z force 1000 and want to replace the air filter with a Uni and maybe do an exhaust upgrade as well. Does anyone know if it needs a programmer or controller after those mods ? Thanks !

Not after the air filter but you change the back pressure very much and you will need a programmer...and I don't know who makes one for the 1000.

I felt that I needed one after putting on my two brothers exhaust because I lost some of my top end power because I was running to lean. I installed the Dobeck ejk 3.5 and it seems to have worked. The upgrades in exhaust and ejk have made my 800 a beast on the low end. I am going to install my new uni air filter this week and see how the mods affect my top end. Can't wait.

Attitude industries attitude box is made for the 1000 and they have them listed all the way through the 2019 model on their web sight.

You guys give me great food for thought, still up in the air about exhaust and tuner. Uni coming in the mail now.
