CLX 700 Heritage Check engine on day 1
« on: July 06, 2022, 03:55:06 PM »
Hello

I traded my very reliable Honda CBR500R 2020 for a new brand called CF Moto, model CLX700 Heritage.

Unfortunately, I got a check engine light not even 30 minutes into riding it, and its been at the dealer back and forth and is now stuck there as they have no clue what the problem is or what the code is.

The distributor is clueless as well, they have shipped a device to allow the dealer to understand the code means, but it might take weeks, and I m not looking to keep a lemon or wait that long as the riding season here is very short.

I reached out to both CF Moto Canada and CF Moto USA who seem to have one CSR each for their customer service, so even more disturbing and offer no clue as well.

I reached out to CF Moto Official on SM and by email, but no replies.

Anyone in this world knows what check engine error code P057129 means? and how to fix it?

I am about to cancel this transaction.

Don`t know p057129 code but code po571 is a generic code for the brake light circuit on cars.  my diagnostic scanner that i use to work on cars will connect to my 600 touring atv and show genric codes and data.

Got the bike back, dealer is waiting for a part from China to diagnose the code, but while riding lost power at high rpm and bike missfired few times, unless you ride at low steady rpm...and code started flashing again. Scary moment while on Highway. Is this normal not to have screw?  Is this lemon or cf moto bikes are just junk? Had a honda and yamaha, zero issues

Can't tell you about the screw but I can say that comparing Chinese goods to Japanese is so not apples to apples. The two have such different quality and production standards that a comparison, even between "like" products is impossible. That being said you still shouldn't be having these issued with yours...especially so soon. I might be tempted to ask for a different one.
