clutch settings
« on: May 06, 2021, 11:08:18 AM »
I have a 2019 CF Moto ZForce 500 trail
2" lift kit and 2" wheel spacers... I wanted to know what yall thought would be the best secondary clutch setting and should I mess with the primary weights? Would the B2 setting be too much for the 500? I have stock 26" tires and was thinking about going to some kind of 27" mudgrip tire...

Welcome. On all 500s and 600s, C1 has proven to be the best setting as any more kills back shifting and tends to exceed the best RPM range...unless you spend most of your time in mud. As for the primary weights, going to the sliders is always a good idea but stay with either the stock weight or only one gram less.

thank u... im probably gonna go with 24 gram sliders... If I went with B2 how much top end do u think I'd lose... The bikes top speed is 56mph... Im just not sure... I read so many different posts... I do go in alot of mud btw... And was thinking about going with a little bigger mudgrip tire without losing anything...

You can try B2 and always go back. You will likely hit the RPM limiter before full shift-out..probably cut it down to 48-50 or so. Remember...the 500s only have like 38 HP and around 32ftlb torque....and that's all at very high RPM..like 6800 and 5800.

I had my c force 500s (520 on europe) at B2 and stock primary springs and weights. I didn't hit rev limiter in high gear. It topped out at like 95km/h managed to get it to 100km/H (60mph) a few times. Think b2 was a good overall "uppgrade" on my machine both with stock 25" and my 24,5" road tires and worked with bigger tires aswell.

If you also going to run 27" tires i think B2 will work fine.

Going higher that that you might think it rev's a bit to much.

Now i have clocked it to A2 and now it revs more at higher speeds. I don't usually run near top speed that often so i think it worth it as i wanted more low to mid range power also got some more power almost at the poend but maigh have lost a few km/h top speed now.

But I think it's easier to crawl slow and I have some more power when im in mud with my 28" tires wich was waht I was looking for.

Do you have 24g stock weights? I have 16g weights and the "slider weights a few grams but thats always the same so no one measure it.
