Clutch

I went to move Z 500 today and I noticed it kinda had to rev up a little bit not a lot but seems more than usual to get to move not a lot though could this be signs of a belt getting worn or a clutch problem house around 8 to 900 miles on it

Are the Z500 a wet clutch system? If so then it wouldn't be belt wear. If it's a belt slammer then I suppose it could, more likely maybe needs a clutch cleaning. My buddy has snowmobiles and the clutches get sticky after a while and he takes them apart to clean them. If wet clutch them your belt is under constant tension and it would be the wet clutch that is sticking or maybe time for an oil change.

Funny thing is the manual says it has a wet clutch but it doesn't show one anywhere I can find in it...and it has the belt-rest bearing between the primary sheaves....and it doesn't show that cover bearing for the outer shaft like wet clutch outer shafts need. I'm confused. Maybe there is a difference between the 500s and the 550s?
