Changing the steering wheel.
« on: April 24, 2024, 08:18:37 PM »
Just to personalize my 2018 cf moto zforce trail i have been doing and adding small things to it.
I just got the D shape carbon fiber looking steering wheel and want to change it in the next few days.I watched a u tube video of one being changed by the guy on red neck garage and it looked pretty straight forward. He did not use a new adapter.
Has anyone on this site changed thiers and did you have to use a adapter?
If so what kind and where did you buy it?
Thanks guys.    Steering wheel part # if anyone is interested. I got it off EBAY.

I too am interested as I thing the "D" shaped wheel would make it easier yo get in and out of. I've hears several things like the bolt pattern is off slightly and need an adapter to.. it's an exact match so please do post pics on this project.

I don't know how to do pictures i'm not that computor smart. But my Son n Law put it on for me and it wasen't that hard.
If you can find the video on u tube just follow the instructions or what he does and it's that easy. For my 800 trail i did not need an adaptor but you do need to take the stock steering wheel hub off to mount it to the steering wheel then to the steering shaft.
I bought the carbon fiber one cause i couldn't find an orange one to match the buggy.
I'm happy how it looks.
