« on: June 03, 2023, 10:44:12 PM »
Hey guys I have a 2020 cforce 500 and the o2 sensor melted the wires sparked and shorted the ECU. Machine ran horrible exhaust was super loud and would be hard to start so I Bought a new ecu for the machine after installing new ecu the machine will not drive past 20mph no matter what.. Any help would be fantastic!

Welcome. Did you fix the melted wires and replace the now contaminated O2 sensor? Also, these have a small catalytic converter that will plug pretty fast if the exhaust is too rich for too long and won't clear. How long did you run it with the bad wires and ECU?

Replaced the o2 once I realized it was melted and we ran it for a couple days while it was running rich only noticed it because of the bad miss and smoke coming out the exhaust - where is the converter on my machine?

Both ECU & o2 have now been replaced

If it has one...like the rest of ours do, it will be the first thing the exhaust hits in the muffler. That hot-spot on the input end of the muffler might be a tell-tail sign of it. Use a bore scope and see if you can see it. If its all black...it's F'ed.
