Hello i have a 2016 z force 800 I bought it 3-1-2017 with a 5 years parts and labor from plaza cycle in SLC Utah I have just under 700 miles on it installed the upgraded air filter last september and changed oil at around 350 miles went out over easter and bike failed to start after 3rd day dropped off bike at plaza and they told me motor failed due to dirt being sucked up through the intake ie motor is bad they said they called RPM one who covers warranty claims and they denied my claim talked to another another dealer and they said they have had same problem and warranties were covered by cf moto plaza want 4057 .00 to replace motor i need some advice if i take bike to another dealer they want a 600.00 tear down fee

That's too bad..sorry to hear that. How many miles did it have on it with the OE filter and what filter did you upgrade to? I would call the warranty people directly and fight for your claim. You did nothing to cause this and therefore there is no reason for it to be denied.

contact the warranty company find out why they denied the claim. Have a lawyer send them a letter and they will likely change their tune.

OK, you posted this in April.

Changed oil and installed upgraded air filter at 350 miles. At 650 miles oil lite came on. Drove back to camp and checked oil level. Good. Next morning it would not start. Loaded up and came home. Dropped off bike at dealer and it has a bad oil pump and hi metallic in oil and they said i need a new motor. They told me it might not be under warranty claiming I ran it with the oil lite on

I'm confused.
