Has anyone used the new CF Moto branded air filter.   Just curious as to what your thoughts about it are so far.

If that's the stock filter, get something else. They've been known to fail, causing engine failure.

If the new foam filter is a dual-stage and has the correct PPI..ie 40 first, then 60 second, then it will equal the Unifilter when treated with a quality foam filter oil. I use TwinAir and UniFilter so I have not bought one of them.

I have seen them at my dealer.  They look well put together.  They are pretty expensive though.  I think he quoted me around 30.00.

I am using one on my Zforce. I agree, it is well put together. I ran it for approx 300 km in very dusty trail conditions. The first stage filter was coated pretty good with dirt particles ( I have no pre-filter on the intake, change is coming). The second stage inside filter was clean looking. Therefore was pretty happy with its performance.

That's a little more then a Unifilter but remember, they are re-useable..for many dozens of cleanings.

I have one coming from Chris in Canada. $50ish with freight. Looks like the K&N only oiled foam(blue). I will keep the Forum posted once installed. I have a twin air right now. Kinda bothered by the uncaged foam. The blue CFM unit is caged and supported.

I was bothered by my TwinAir with no cage too so I took out a spring from another Uni I had, adjusted it to fit and installed it. It worked well but..I saw the extra weight of the spring allowed the entire foam end to flop around. Worried about the foam ripping loose from the base over time I removed the spring. Now I have a 5"x 8" long Unifilter coming that will either go into the box or replace my mushroom filter up on top. It does have a 3" flange I will need to get an adaptor for if I put it in the box but..it will fit.
