CFMOTO App is connecting to another bike...not mine
« on: September 15, 2022, 10:02:18 PM »
I'm having an issue connecting my NK300 to the CFMOTO app. I am able to successfully enter my VIN# to bind the vehicle in the app, however it is showing my location about 1000km away and has the wrong KM, driving behavior, historical track, etc. It does list the correct VIN# and Engine#, but does not appear to be correctly binding with my bike.

I've bound and unbound about it about a dozen times, and it always appears to connect to the wrong bike. I've contacted my dealer, who told me to contact CFMOTO Canada, who then told me to work with my dealer...and it's an endless cycle. The CFMOTO app and the driving behavior was one of the big features that drew me to the 300NK in the first place and now essentially the app is useless to me. I can successfully connect to bluetooth for navigation, but none of the other features seem to work.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue or does anyone have any ideas how to rectify it? I'm wondering if the information is wrong in the CFMOTO database or something. Any help or suggestions on who to contact would be greatly appreciated.

I know nothing of this app or this bike, so take this with a grain of salt.

Is it possible that you entered the VIN with an incorrect number or letter? For instance, the number zero instead of the letter O? Or vise versa?

Are you getting the VIN from the frame? Or the paperwork? (Do they match?)

I have verified the VIN from both the paperwork and the bike itself. I quadruple-checked that it is correct. When it binds to the app it is displaying the correct VIN and engine number...but it's not my bike lol

Makes me wonder if someone else got their VIN wrong, and put your number in by mistake.

Only the APP database developer/maintainer is likely to be able to fix the problem.
