Cfmoto 250 v3 engine replacement queries
« on: November 26, 2016, 12:52:08 AM »
I have been riding around on my 2007 cfmoto v3 250 for a while now and I always wondered if it was possible to replace the engine in a v3 250 entirely with a larger capacity engine?

I like my bike but need an upgrade, I'll keep it if buying a higher capacity engine will cost less then $2500, otherwise it'll be sold for chump change and I'll save for a more powerful bike.

Just putting the feelers out there, I've seen new v3 250 engines for $1000 online, but don't know if any other motorcycle engines would fit the same bike, if someone could let me know that'd make me a very happy guy.

I hope you find the info your looking for, but I have found it's better to just buy a bigger ride. By the time you get so far into the project, you have so much time and money into it that you wish you have never even started it.
2013 Z6 Trail
Iron Baltic skid plates
UE Boom Speaker mount
RZR 800 Shocks
Mostly stock trail riding
25g. Rollers and A1

2016 Outlander max 570
Too new for mods yet

Save you money and time and buy a bigger bike.
The engine is a copy of a Honda CH-250.
