I'm changing my front and rear diff oil in one of my machines. The last time I did the diffs on my cforce I used Lucas 80w90 gear oil and have no problems with it. I really was interested to see how I liked using the Maxima 80w90 because I'm a fan of their engine oil. The cheapest I could find it was on amazon for 18.99 a liter. I can get Lucas 80w90 local for $12 or Valvoline 80w90 for $10.99. My question is do you think it's worth it to get the Maxima oil for my machines? I change gear oil at least once a year front and rear in three machines if that matters.
Thanks

Just my opinion but if I was pumping 100+ HPs at the diffs and running them at max temps, I would pop for the best ( and that doesn't always mean the most expensive). But that's just not the case on these. I run the Valvoline and it's been just fine.

Thanks for the replies. I'll probably just use the Lucas because it's in my other bike and seems fine. No way to truly know but it's quiet and runs smoothly so I'll take that as it's ok. I change it regularly and use what the book says for fill volume so I could probably use any 80w90 and be fine.
