Need some help. I'm new to bikes, this is my first one. It is a CF-Moto 250 (V5). I was riding tonight when all of a sudden the engine made a really loud clacking noise then the engine stopped. I waited a few minutes and tried to start it up again. It fires up but immediately has the loud clacking noise. Any ideas or suggestions would be great. Thanks

Take the cover off the belt drive and have a look for loose nuts on the drive or driven pulleys. Also inspect the drive belt too.
More info about model year, mileage, etc helps with problem solving via remote.

It is a 2009 250T (V5). It has roughly four thousand miles on it. And will inspect belt area and anything else I can see. Thanks and If you can think of anymore ideas, they would be appreciated.

I figured out what happened. I broke my belt. Thanks to everyone who tried helping. Stay safe out there.
