I would have no trouble recommending the CFM, but the dealer may make the choice for you.
You guys over the water seem to have a lot of trouble with dealers. I have watched my local dealer take a piece off a new one on the display floor to help a customer get going again.

Yes I even asked about that as I had just had my Kawasaki Z1000 in for service and they did exactly that to get me going again. They told me they didn't have any in stock, which I am pretty sure was a lie.

Resale value sucks.

Just curious where this comes from?  I've been looking for awhile now and have yet to find hardly any used units for sale. 

Resale value IS lower. But so is the RETAIL value.  Pay $11K and resell for $8K or pay $20K and sell for $16K. Drive your favorite car off the lot and day one it's 33% off its retail.  Again, get what YOU like best.  You will hear they are the BEST and WORST no matter what you buy. If you ask enough people.

The 2014 CForce 500 HO just was named PowerSports Business' #2 ATV in best value retention behind the Polaris Sportsman 800.  As the brand grows in recognition and reputation, and just as the machines have been out in the wild for longer, we'll see more models crack that list.

as far as value goes, I think its the best buy for the dollar, we love ours and would not trade it for any other brand.
we've not had any trouble with ours other than fan thermo switch.
we ride with a lot of other sxs's mostly Polaris, and I can tell you ours will ride right there with
the best of them.
