Hi everybody

Entirely trusting my mechanic was a bad choice...not long ago I was driving 40 km/h on the road. At one point the front wheels dropped 15 centimeters and locked the wheels to the right. The 450 slammed on the brakes and, with all the luck in the world, I just didn't roll over.
I went to my mechanic and he found a broken belt. I'm glad I'm still alive! Imagine if I drove 80 km-h or 100...., I probably wouldn't have survived that...

I know it's my own fault. It's that I'm not technical...
The mechanic told me that the belt should be replaced every 5000 kilometers (is this true?). There is now 9500 kilometers on my counter and I have never had the belt replaced....
Yesterday i picked up the quad and i noticed something. The front axles have a strange angle. But the mechinac told me it´s just fine like this. Can´t remember how they looked like before...

Can someone tell me if they have the correct angle like this?

Belts should be replaced when they either show signs of age cracking or the width and length exceed the service limit. It is not uncommon to get 4-7000 miles out of them if treated properly and not overheated or forced to slip.

The axle angles are at their limits but will be less when there is weight on the frame as in you sitting on it.

Not unless you relocate the shocks with some lowering kit which would kill your ground clearance. Set your preloads mid to soft and just enjoy it..it's fine..unless you think something got damaged or bent...then that should be found and fixed.
