Hello, my CForce 600 Touring has 25 hours and about 125 miles on it. I was riding a few weeks ago, pulled over to stop and it stalled out. Didn't think much of it since that has happened before but kept stalling after I start it and try to put it into gear and had to get towed back. It doesn't matter if I'm in park or neutral it will stall out when I try to put it into gear. The shop wanted $1700 to replace clutch and belt (clutch isn't under warranty). I'm not interested in paying that much for something I can do myself. Anyway, my question is if anyone has seen this before and if it really does sound like the clutch and belt need replaced? I swapped out the clutch bearings but it still does the same thing. Does anyone have any other recommendations to try before going to clutch and belt replacement?

Stalling can be caused from several things but having a clutch problem that causes it is rare and unlikely it would need a complete replacement of both clutches and belt. More likely that the Idle Air Control Valve has an issue as is the case with many other CFM machines...especially those that have been running the CFM air filters of have been over-oiling their Unifilters.Stalling can also be caused bu things like low fuel pressure or even low system voltage...or even an injector problem..all should cause an error code in the EFI system though.
