Bluetooth winch remote
« on: November 18, 2018, 06:11:40 PM »
I am brand new to the site as I have just purchased a brand new 2018 UForce 500 LX. I haven't even picked it up yet. My question is I noticed on a few instances while looking for reviews and comments on this machine I noticed that the winch comes with a bluetooth winch remote along with the corded one. Is that true? Just wanted to know before I go and pick it up so I can ask for it if it isn't in the glove compartment. This is a great site and will be a great resource in the future.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome. I can't say for sure for the 500s but the 800s I do understand they have a wireless remote and the corded one. I don't know if it is bluetooth or not but..yeah I would make sure it's there when you pick it up if it does.

Comes with both, a little storage spot on the left of the box for the wireless remote.

I would suggest you spool out the winch cable once you take delivery & rewind.....I've seen a knotted mess from the factory  ;D
ZF 800 LX Trail, stock for now.......not for long.

Yes, the Uforce 500 comes with both remotes in the glove box. Although not blue tooth, the wireless remote works fantastic and  I would not own another winch now without this feature. I use it extensively for felling trees in my bush lot. Tie the line to the tree, make the chain saw hinge cut and with the touch of a button make that tree fall exactly where you want it without having to walk back into a danger zone or make a big circle. Very useful feature to have for sure. Same with winching out the UTV from a mud hole. You get to stand well away from the whiplash danger zone of the cable should it decide to snap.

The last tip I can offer is when you are done with a length of cable un-spooled from the winch. In order to avoid a birds nest, simply hang on to the cable end strap and keep tension all the while pressing the remote button to reel you in towards  the winch. It allows you to properly layer the cable side to side and avoid a spool tangle.

That's awesome, Thanks  guys. The remote will be great, I know with my last bike when winding up the cable it was a 2 person job because if you did it by yourself it was difficult to wind it up tight and neatly. I will make sure I have it when I pick up the bike. Can't wait to get it. Thanks again for the quick responses.
