New Uforce 800 owner. I'm experiencing excessive heat coming up around the center console. Is this normal and has anyone done a mod to fix this?

I concerned that this will get very uncomfortable in the summer.

It's normal. The Zs do it to, and other brands as well.

The heat comes from the radiator mounted in the front. It migrates towards the cab and enters through the various paths through the front wall.

Some have taken the effort to reduce this migration by blocking up holes and such with some success.

It's never gotten hot enough to bother me, and the heat helps in the winter.

Yeah along with sealing up the front and back where it gets some heat as well, some have had some luck with stick-on heat sheild on the underside as well as sealing up all holes where it can get out in the cab. On my Z I stuffed chunks on memory foam like around the seat belts mounts and installed a boot on the hand brake. All this also helps with the noise level too.

If you thinks it's bad now.........just wait until summer. It is brutal. I made a shield out of thin plastic to cover up the large hole around the steering shaft. It has worked very well. On a long trail ride in the summer, the hot air is like a blow torch on your right leg and will turn your skin red.
