Aftermarket tie rod ends
« on: April 19, 2023, 04:27:50 PM »
So I ordered these off ebay and they said they were for the zforce500.  However, upon inspection, they are clearly not oem.  Any reason why I shouldn't run these?  The "oem" ones seem to be soft and a good aftermarket would be nice.

The reality is.. if they fit correctly, they are bound to be better then the OEM...especially if they weren't made in China. Even if so, if they fit..I would run them anyway. There has been way too many tie rod problems with CFM.

I hoped you'd reply!  True I hate the oem ones, and these were $40 a pair!  They definitely look better.

For me if I ever have a problem with an OE part, I do everything in my power never to buy another one again...ever. :)

Well, here it is tightened down.  Doesn't look like much room for movement....thoughts??

How much movement does the ball have. Needs around 20 degrees minimum..I think. 30 would be nice.

Probably tough to do without something like this tool. Worth having though. Saved me lots of times. Maybe just see if its about the same as the other side.
